| Background Information | YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) England is the umbrella body for 140 local YMCAs. The YMCA was established by George Williams in London, and quickly became a global movement. An original focus on Christian evangelising among young men was broadened to embrace physical fitness, general youth work and training, with a particular focus on those in need.
